SEND Provision
At Boroughbridge Primary School & Nursery we:
- Aim to give all children equal access to teaching and learning.
- Aim to plan for continuity and progression at our school and upon transfer to secondary education.
- Recognise the entitlement of all pupils to a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Have developed our SEND policy which reinforces the need for teaching that is fully inclusive and Quality first teaching to good & outstanding levels.
- Have a Governing Board that will ensure that appropriate provision will be made for all pupils with SEND.
- Will work together with parents and other agencies to ensure your child has the best life outcomes and provision in school.
- Will put into place Individual Provision Maps to help with target setting and recording improvements.
- Will celebrate milestones and hold meetings to review next steps.
- Will have an open door policy where you can talk to teachers/ SENCO and Head when the need arises.
- Will always listen to your wishes and make sure the child is part of any processes and their voice is heard.
- Will undergo any training necessary to cater for your child’s needs and access support.
