Curriculum
Our curriculum is based on the Educational Programmes as outlined in the new Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework. We incorporate topics such as This is Me, In the Dark, Beneath our Feet, Into the Wild, Ready Steady Grow and Up, Up and Away. etc. But we also follow children’s interest so our curriculum and teaching are flexible. Phonics is taught using the Little Wandle Revised Letters and
Sounds phonics programme. Please see our website for further details about the curriculum that we follow and to see our Long Term Plans.

How we monitor children’s progress
We monitor children through observations based on focused activities, child-initiated activities and play and conversations we have with children. Each term we assess children to see if they are on track/not on track to meet the end of year expectations.

How you can help your child at home
Spend time talking to your children, read to them daily and listen to them read, play boards games, bake, go on walks and adventures and have lots of fun!

We hope that you and your child will enjoy a happy and fulfilling time with us. We aim to provide a challenging and stimulating environment, in which children can become motivated, independent learners, who value the contribution of themselves and others. We look forward to working with you to ensure that your child’s education has the best possible foundations.
