Languages

We teach Spanish through the Primary Languages Network scheme, which teaches children through a variety of songs, games and activities. The focus in our lessons is oracy; learning the correct pronunciation and using the vocabulary in conversations. Each lesson is a building block on the previous lesson, to ensure progression throughout Key Stage 2. To embed Spanish throughout the school we have a Key Stage one Spanish word/phrase of the half term. We have key assemblies and events throughout the year highlighting Spanish culture and other cultures from across the globe! Programmes of study follow the National Curriculum.
