FOBS
FOBS (Friends of Boroughbridge School) is a committee of parents, carers and staff who are working hard on behalf of the school. For more information about upcoming events please follow us on Facebook. The friends intend to raise funds to support the ongoing financial commitments of the school and organise social events for the school community. FOBS will be organising numerous events throughout the school calendar.
By supporting and helping the events held throughout the year, you can help provide resources and experiences for your child and their education. The events throughout the year will sometimes be held for whole families, as well as just for the children. Please try to join us as often as you are able and allow your child to participate often. If you have time to spare, either on a regular basis or occasionally, there is always something to do, so please let the FOBS know so we can contact you when we need help. All ideas are welcome.
Meet the team
Chair: My name is Victoria and my son is in year 5. We moved to Boroughbridge in March 2021 from Durham. We came here for a more relaxed way of life as the hustle and bustle of Durham was no longer enjoyable. We have loved every minute since we moved here and Boroughbridge is the kind of town I was hoping for to raise my child. I really wanted to get involved with FOBS as I do not really know any other parents at school and wanted to contribute to raising funds that would benefit the children and hopefully the community. I hope we can be successful and have some fun while doing it.

Secretary: Hi, I am Zoe. I am a mum of a child currently in Year 4 and a another that will be joining the school in reception in September 2023. My family and I moved to Boroughbridge in December 2021, from a military base. I enjoy spending my free time going out for days, listening to audio books as well as watching movies and doing activities with my children.
Treasurer: I am Rachel and I have two children currently attending Boroughbridge Primary School in Year 4 and Year 1. We have lived in Boroughbridge for just over eight years now. Before having children, I worked as a Primary School teacher in Teesside. I now run my own business from home as a knitwear designer. I’m looking forward to contributing to a renewed sense of community at Boroughbridge Primary School through my role in FOBS.
